After more beautiful driving we ended up at the next camp site in lake side alpine town called Wanaka. The town was a buzz with people as it was hosting a triathlon. From the campground we walked along a vineyard and the lake and then had dinner in town. It started pouring down rain while we were eating. The cab service was shut down for the road race and so we walked the 2 KM back to the campsite..... in the rain. About half way I remembered we had left the roof vents and windows open. Lynn dryed the camper out as best he could and I hot showered the kids and put their dry pajamas on. We all laughed about it except Andrew but the next day he asked if we could get a campervan when we get back to Tennessee. We did laundry through out the next morning and then packed up for the last leg to Queenstown.
