Happy New Year

This blog is a bit in reverse chronological order with our "Sister Christmas Day", New years Eve, and the New Years Day arrival of Lynn's parents Phil and Rheba. On New Years Day you can see Nana above, the first person off the plane, running. I didn't catch a photo of all our happy tears to see them. Our neighbors were in the airport flying to London and Thailand for a month for 2 kids' weddings. They said they also teared at the sight of the Nichols' reunion!
When the LSU tromp over Georgia Tech on International ESPN got boring we headed off to Ocean Beach.

Phillip and Claire in a tidal pool.

Rheba happy to be here.

Phil and I sat and talked about the 50 billon dollar ponsy scheme recently reported.

When the tide went out the boys collected mussels off the rocks. Lynn later steamed them with butter and cream to go with our steaks, yum!

Lynn and his dad.

Anna seen on the float the float she got for Christmas.

Andrew seen with his.

Claire poses in her Billabong surf girl swim suit Lynn gave her.
Nana braved a turn sand surfing.

The kids love digging in the sand.

The pahutakawa red Christmas flower trees are almost faded but there are still a few blooming.
We cleaned out and fired up our "Kiwi Hot Tub". The yard has a tropical garden with a walkway down into a sunken patio with an old bath tub with a fire under it and a chimney. The kids got in.
This was our New Years Eve meal the night before the in laws arrived. It was more like 4th of July.with hot dogs and warm weather.
Andrew had a hot dog and a glass of milk. This is funny because my dad likes milk with his hot dog!

We had Christmas number 2 when the postman delivered my sister's and Lynn's sister's Christmas presents a few days after Christmas.
The packages were all wrapped so cutely.

Andrewtook to the sword. You can see Cheryl suning in the background. Nate got here the next day for 5 nights. After a few nights visit with us I drove them up to Russell to stay alone at a bed and breakfast. He leaves today and we will all drive up and pick up Cheryl who will be here for a few more weeks. Thanks to everyone for all the Christmas presents. Happy New Year! Dawn
