More Fun

Andrew had a sick day at home this week. He had me make him soup because he said Nana said soup makes you feel better. It worked!

Anna enjoyed all her packages from you guys. She is modeling the new jammies.

Andrew enjoyed the presents too.

We made sushi one night this week. we used some fish Phillip caught on the dock.

The kids enjoyed rolling up the rolls.

They were really tasty!!

OK you guys better start leaving comments or at least your name because I am starting to feel like no one is out there. Where is Debra??? We love to see that who has been on line with us.

Thank you to both Mimi/Pop-pop and nana/Papa who sent birthday packages and clothes to us. They come right to our door and provide much excitement when we drive up, see them, and open them. Thank you.

Oh Dr. Nichols, I love you! You know I look at your site every day looking for new messages and pictures! If you go too many days then I can't leave a message to show you how disapointing it is! Everyone seem to be fitting into place and your meeting new friends (just don't forget your old ones!) Everything around here is hectic but we just take it one day at a time. My Phillip is on his way to Hawaai, he might be able to fly home for a few weeks in August! Keep us posted on your progess and adventures. I'll keep your family in my prayers, I'm so proud of all you! Debra

There are times when we all suffer,
When troubles never seem to end,
All kinds of sneaky problems,
That even Doctors can't mend.

There may be troubles in the family,
Our children fuss and strain,
Parents lose their patience,
And dark clouds roll in again.

Or maybe it's trouble at work,
Sometimes things just don't seem fair,
Someone gets upset and angry,
And we wonder why we're there.

Maybe there's been an accident,
That's taken a loved one's life,
We cry out, "O God, where are you?
Why do we have to live with this strife?"

It could be a financial need,
Your credit isn't that good,
It's always hard to keep up,
When we spend more than we should.

The Bible tells us plainly,
Count it all with joy...
But as we feel life's stinging blows,
Good advice can only annoy.

Spend some time with Jesus,
Follow His advice every day,
Soon our hearts become lighter,
As we bow to Him and pray.

His precious love is awesome,
He will help with everything...
And when we get to know the Savior,
Our hearts can't help but sing.

Gidday from a fellow kiwi, up here in the good ole US of A. Thoroughly enjoy following your post, and please keep it up, and if nothing else, you will really appreciate it when looking back on this experience.
Also, I'm glad to read your blog where you tell it like it is, good and bad, rather than the "Christmas newsletter" approach that just glosses over everything not perfect.
I hope that you get to see the rest of the country before you come back, as it is a fantastic place to visit, and explore with plenty of time. I cant tell you how many people wonder why I left,....now you get it, and also those who have been to NZ and Aussie, who wish they reversed the time allocation to spend the bulk of their trip in NZ instead.
Cheerio for now,
Hugh
